Signs and Wonders - 4th Sunday after Pentecost

When Our Lord was speaking of the Last Days, he warned us of false signs and wonders to deceive (if it were possible) even the elect.

Matthew 24:24- 25: “Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, before hand. If therefore they shall say to you; Behold He is in the desert, go ye not out: Behold He is in the closets, believe it not.”

Our Lord makes very specific that if people say they see Him here or there in those days, do not believe it. He even uses the phrase “in the closet”, to indicate if they say He is appearing in their closets or in their rooms, do not believe it. This warning would also apply to those who say that His Mother is appearing here or there in those days.

The Great Apostasy and the Coming of Antichrist
St. Paul also warns us of the same thing in 2 Thessalonians, when speaking about the time of the Great Apostasy and the coming of Antichrist.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12: “Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, and in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying. That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.”

Prophecy of Marie Julie Jahenny, Briton Stigmatist (1891): “During the times of the approach of the punishments announced at La Salette (to be covered in a future blog very soon), an unlimited amount of false revelations will arise from Hell like a swarm of flies; a last attempt of Satan to choke and destroy the belief in the true revelations by false ones.”

Sister Faustina and the Divine Mercy Devotion
The following is a brief summary of why people should avoid this devotion purportedly given by Our Lord to this Polish nun back in the 1930’s.

The plan of the Devil has been sadly incredibly effective;he wants people to accept the New Mass, the Vatican II apostasy and its Antipopes. How many have been deceived by this and other false apparitions of Satan. They continue to accept this false Mass, they continue to accept the Vatican II antipopes in spite of the Magisterial teachings of the Church which show these men are not even Catholic.

Nine Reasons why you should avoid Divine Mercy
Devotion
From the 600 page book Divine Mercy in my Soul Diary by Sister Faustina.

REASON ONE:Communion in the hand, supposedly endorsed by Our Lord. A diabolical attempt to
Get Communion in the hand accepted in advance of the Vatican II religion.

Page 23. “ …and the host came out of the tabernacle and came to rest in my
Hands…(Marian Press, Stockbridge, MA, 1987)

Page 89. “….while I was holding the host in my hand …I heard these words
From the host: I desired to rest in your hands, not only in your heart.”

REASON TWO:

Unnecessary praise heaped upon this sister. Things that would not foster
Humility but vanity.

Page 176. “… “Jesus” says to her: “You are a sweet grape and a chosen cluster….”

Page 191. “… “Jesus” says to her: “For your sake I will withhold the hand which punishes…”

REASON THREE:
Sr. Faustina is told that God’s spark will come out of Poland. This has been
Interpreted to mean that God’s chosen person is Antipope John Paul II, who was from Poland . Since we know that Antipope John Paul II was an apostate , non-Catholic antipope shows us that Sr. Faustina’s revelations were from the Devil.

REASON FOUR:
Divine Mercy Devotion is centred around mercy at a time when mankind was coming closer and closer to having filled up the cup of divine justice. (Second World War)

REASON FIVE:
Would God reveal a new devotion to be said on the beads of the Rosary shortly after
His Mother came to Fatima, to work a profound miracle to reveal, among other things, the necessity of the Rosary?

REASON SIX:
In the 1950’s, the Divine Mercy Devotion was suppressed and Sr. Faustina”s diary was on the index of forbidden books. It was rehabilitated around the world by Antipope John Paul II.

REASON SEVEN:

We already have Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus: note the ABSENCEof the Sacred Heart in the picture of Jesus in the Divine Mercy painting! As they have taken away the Mass there is no Heart.

REASON EIGHT:
Low Sunday has been replaced by Mercy Sunday ( courtesy of Antipope John Paul II)

The Sunday commonly called Low Sunday has two names assigned to it in the Liturgy: Quasimodo, from the first word of the Introit: and Sunday in albis,
Because on this day the neophytes assisted at the Church services attired in their
Ordinary dress.

Such is the solemnity of this Sunday that not only is it of Greater Double rite,
But NO feast, however great, can ever be kept upon it.
(Dom. Gueranger. The Liturgical Year, Paschal Time,Book one, Vol 7)

REASON NINE:

Gnostic rays from Faustina’s picture where there should be a heart…
In the regular picture most are familiar with there are two rays, on white and the
Other red. There are pictures of Divine Mercy showing six colored rays not including the white ray. Gnostics maintain all life is governed by the 7 rays of healing and much more garbage besides.
Gnosticism has been condemned by the Catholic Church.

CONVINCED YET?
REASON SIX and EIGHT should be enough to convince anybody that this devotion
Is not from Heaven.

OBJECTION We have been doing this devotion for the last ten years, so it can’t be wrong

REPLY So what. There are people out there who were following Garabandal (1961 – 1965) for more than 20 years but that does not make it right.

[ Garabandal apparitions to be covered in a future article]

Hi, Valerie,

Thank you for your comments...

I hope the following will be of some assistance to you in confirming that the Divine Mercy devotion is from the Devil and not from God...

As shown in the article on Divine Mercy, Pope Pius XII placed this devotion on the index of forbidden books back in the 1950's...

Along came antipope Paul VI, who removed the index of forbidden books, preparing the way for his successor, antipope John Paul II to reinstate this false apparition in the 1980's...

Since they were both antipopes they had no power whatsoever to command, change or pronounce new dogmas of the Catholic Church...

The "gates of Hell" have been defined by the Catholic Church as the "death dealing tongues of heretics", and being the "spotless bride of Christ", the Church cannot sin or teach error...

The Holy Ghost was obviously watching over and guarding the Church when Pope Pius XII placed the Divine Mercy devotion on the index of forbidden books, thus ensuring that the faithful would not be deceived by this false apparition...

The Church cannot change her teachings on matters of faith or morals, unlike the counterfeit Vatican II religion which attempted to do at Vatican II, proving that it is a false church set up by the forces of Satan in these Last Days of the Great Apostasy...The index of forbidden books concerns both faith and morals...

Be aware, the devil is ready to concede anything, even so called graces, to keep those "Catholics" in the invalid New Mass and the counterfeit non - catholic Vatican II church under heretical antipopes ...

We already have devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus...1st Friday, I see. tomorrow, in this part of the world...why not try it...you will then be receiving many graces from God ...

ROMA LOCUTA EST, CAUSA FINITA..."Rome has spoken , the case is closed "- St Augustine, Sermones 131.

Hi, buy it wasn't Pius XII who put it on the Index of Forbidden Books it was John XXIII, Pius XII actually advocated for it.

Well, now that you mention it, I have seen various conflicting reports about who did what with Sr. Faustinas' 'devotion'. But really, does it matter, it is a 'devotion' that Catholics should avoid! See MHFM article on Divine Mercy.

For example, one comment has it that antipope John XXIII put it on the index of forbidden books, but since he was an invalid antipope, it had no effect...So it must have been Pope Pius XII, by that reckoning, even tho' some say he supported it. Did he?

Remember he was not a staunch traditionalist, his reforms, ommissions, and his failures are covered by MHFM; had he come to the defense of Fr. Feeny's preaching of E.E.N.S. there would never have been a Vatican II!
