I mean to say, I have just done a blog on the Inquisition, citing the Papal,and Spanish Inquisition, which pretty much occurred before the invention of the printing Press in the 1450's; the first English translation by Tyndale - the 1st ever Tyndale New Testament was around 1525, and so the banning of the Bible could not have been the reason for the Inquisition! Duh!


Because the Papal Inquisition occurred around 1239, and Queen Isabella instituted the Spanish Inquisition around 1492. Go figure!


The only "ancient war going on today" is the one based on Sola Scriptura - bible alone, the crutch upon which Protestants have relied upon, since their founding, 'wresting it to their destruction' !

The very word "Inquisition" ( which derives from the Latin verb, inquiro (3) - "to inquire") conjures up images of torture and oppression carried out by monks of the Catholic Church, in an age bygone.


This is unfair and not based on facts as has been revealed in the 1994 BBC Film, "The Myth of the Spanish Inquisition" and other modern scholars, like William Thomas Walsh in his "Characters of the Inquisition"...




We have seen the past couple of antipopes apologizing for the so -called abuses and persecutions during the periods of the Inquisitions, totally uncalled for because, in the opinion of historians they were the most just and benign tribunals in their day.


The Inquisition protected the rights of defendants and established a level of Christian jurisprudence that the far more death dealing Protestant countries at that time were far from attaining.

More false information has been circulated against the Catholic Church than almost any other topic.

Until the 13th century , the official policy of the Church regarding heretis was that of St. Paul, St .Augustine and other Fathers of the early Christian Church, that heretics were to be allowed full religious liberty, and not to be harmed in any way, other than exclusion from the Christian community.

As St. Cyprian of Carthage wrote, " Of what use is cruelty? What has the rack to do with piety?


Beginning in the 13th century, the Albegensian heretics began to attack the Catholic Church, Holy Mass, the Sacraments , teachings of the Church, and undermining the moral basis of human society, by subverting oaths, denying the right of states to punish criminals, forbidding marriage and procreation, and encouraging suicide especially by starvation.

And so, the Papal Inquisition, a system of ecclesiastical courts was set up for trying and punishing heresy was established in 1230, with jurisdiction over Catholics and fallen away Catholics only.


These courts were commissioned to first seek the reformation of heretics by warnings or slight penamces which most accepted. Their scrupulous rules of procedures protected the accused more safeguards than the defendants in modern courts do today.


Only lapsed or intransigent heretics were eventually found guilty , and as the ecclesiastical court's authority ended there, were handed over to the state, which at that time considered heresy a crime of anarchy and high treason, undermining the state.

The Papal Inquisition was revived again in the 15th century, to deal with false conversions of Jews and Mohammedans, and in the 16th century to deal with the virulent Protestant heresy that was sweeping Europe.

The Spanish Inquisition did not proceed against sincere followers of any religion, but only those Spaniards, Jews and Moors, who having been members of the Catholic Faith, pretended to be Catholic, had actually given up their faith and had become involved in treacheries against Spain.

Around 1492, the top Jews in Spain had wormed their way into high positions of the Church and State, by pretending to be Christians. These false Marrano Jews, as they were called, were working with the Muslims across the Straits of Gibralter to overthrow Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand, and turn a Christian country into a Moslem country.

Queen Isabella reacted in time and enacted the Spanish Inquisition, to inquire who were the false Marrano Jews working in both Church and State to betray both.


The Spanish Inquisition was not a mad rampage where millions were killed indiscriminately, but a careful rooting out of traitors who were about to betray and perhaps destroy Spain, first , and then Christian Europe.


In the recent BBC documentary - not a pro -Catholic organization, called "The Myth of the Spanish Inquisition", historians presented their conclusions from the first time study of the actual cases taken from the archives of the Inquisition itself, discovered that the common notion of the Spanish Inquisition as some horrible, fanatical, all-encompassing blood-thirsty monster could not be further from the truth.

The BBC documentary stresses that the Inquisition was governed by very strict manuals of procedure, which spelled out could or could not be done.

By contrast to the other tribunals (Protestant) of Europe, they emerged as almost enlightened. Anyone breaking the rules was sacked. The Inquisitors were interrogators, but restrained interrogators, sceptical of the use of hardships or torture. The torture chamber was never used in Spain. It was practiced in the Protestant Northern European countries, at the time.
For example, the register of Bernard Gui ( 1261 - 1331 ), the Inquisitor of Toulouse for six years, who examined more than 600 heretics, shows only one instance where a mild torture was used. In the vast majority of cases, those who were found guilty were enjoined to say some prayers or recite the seven Penitential Psalms.

The documentary noted that from 1450 - 1750 there was a terrible persecution of witchcraft in the Protestant countries of Europe and the United States. At the merest suggestion of horrible crimes such as killing babies or sleeping with the devil, women were tortured or burnt at the stake.

The Papal Inquisition said, however, that witchcraft was a delusion, and in fact that no one could be tried or burned for it.

In Protestant Europe, 150,000 were prosecuted for the crime of witchcraft, and perhaps half that number were condemned and executed. In one year alone, 1692, in the United States, the Protestant Salem witch trials executed twenty "witches". Protestants even sold as slaves they considered heretics, like Anne Hutchinson, under the Authority of the General Court of Boston, and four of them were hanged there, including the Quaker, Mary Dyer.

Historian, John Tedeschi, described the Papal Inquisition as not a "drumhead court, a chamber of horrors, or a judicial labyrinth from which escape was impossible, misuse of authority, and wanton abuse of human rights were not tolerated.
The Inquisitors were theological experts who followed the rules and instructions meticulously and were dismissed and punished when they showed little regard for justice. When, for example, in 1223, Robert of Bourger gleefully announced his aim to burn heretics not to convert them, he was immediately suspended and imprisoned for life by Pope Gregory IX ( Maycock, The Inquisition , p 128 - 129).

If these are the facts of the Inquisition, how has the myth that many today associate with the Papal Inquisition attained such currency? In fact the myth is known to have been manufactured. It is known by whom. The common misconception, however, confuses the highly - political Spanish Inquisition ( 1480 - 1834 ), which was conducted by the Spanish government for secular political purposes, from the Papal Inquisition, which was conducted by the Church under strict canonical rule.

In the 16th century a body of writings, termed the "Black Legend" , which vilified both Spain and her Catholic faith, emanated from the Protestant countries of Northern Europe, which were in a pitched political battle with Catholic Spain, then the great continental power. Her Protestant enemies were jealous of Spain, and many resorted to the lie of the "Black Legend" to help bring down Spanish power and control.
This Black Legend is known to have been fabricated principally by one, Montanus ( Renaldo Gonzales Montana), who in 1567 published his Sanctae Inquisitionis Hispanicae Artes Aliquot Detectae ac Palam Traductae ( A Discovery and Playne Declaration of Sundry and Subtill Practices of the Holy Inquisition of Spayne), which was soon translated from Latin into all the major languages of Western Europe ( English, German French , Dutch) and widely circulated.

In this work, which one would call "racist" today, Spaniards were described by Protestant Northern European sources as dark, cruel, greedy, treacherous, ignorant and narrow. The Papal Inquisition was fiercely attacked with gross exageration.

Myth can be destroyed only by fact, and the fact is that between 3000 and 5000 were killed in the 350 years of the Inquisition, whereas in the same period in Protestant countries, 150,000 witches alone were burned for heresy. As Professor Stephen Haliczer of Northern University of Illinois verifies, the Inquisitors never used method of torture that were common in Protestant countries - disemboweling and gouging out of eyes for example.

The Inquisition compared to other tribunals in the Protestant countries has virtually a clean record in respect to torture.

For example, Spain and Spanish America executed during the 350 years of the Inquisition, only 40 - 50 were executed, in comparison to the Protestant English Inquisition, which during the reign of Mary and Elizabeth ( 1553- 1603), executed over 400 people, and in the anti - Catholic persecutions generally, 72,000 souls.

In England thousands of defendants were being executed for crimes as insignificant as damaging shrubs in public gardens and poaching deer and stealing a woman's handkerchief. Yet these facts are generally hidden by a very succesful campaign by Elizabeth, which historians call the "Mask of Elizabethan Propaganda"

Thus, it was a combination of political rivalry, contempt for the Catholic faith, and anti - Spanish nationalism that has created a distorted myth of the Inquisition.

In the United States, abetting that myth , were the admittedly brilliant and unforgettable, though fictional short stories of the master story teller, Edgar Allan Poe.

Recently, a study of 61 volumes of the Procesos ( Official Trial Records) of the Mexican branch ( 1593 - 1817 ) of the Papal Inquisition was conducted by two Universtity of California scholars . Prof. Thomas Brady and Arthur Quinn ( California Monthly, April, 1997, pp 18 -19), confirmed that, in contrast to the secular crimal procedures of the time, the Papal Inquisition allowed councel to the defendent, reauired a formal charge, and gave judges wide discretion in mitigating sentences ( most of which were religious in nature like the rectitation of the Seven Penitential Psalms or wearing a cross).

The scholars concluded that "the trials were remarkably fair and weighed heavily on the side of the accused." They further concluded: "Long held myths represent asnd nourish deeply felt needs, but they must be abandoned because they falsify history."

Strong Evidence Fluoride causes Bone Cancer in Young Men

A new study published in "Cancer Causes and Control, May, 2006, gives strong evidence that boys exposed to fluoridated water between the ages of 6 an 10 years are 500% to 700% more likely to get bone cancer before the age of 20 than boys drinking non- fluoridated water.

WATER FLUORIDATON IS TOXIC WASTE DISPOSAL

Water fluoridation is the addition of the chemical fluoride in the form of hydrofluorosilicic acid or sodiumsilicofluoride. These are toxic by-products of the phosphate fertilizer industry. They are too toxic to be discharged into the air or dumped into the sea or rivers. However they are allowed to get rid of this waste product if they dilute it into huge amounts of water. Our public drinking water is essentially being used as a toxic waste disposal system.

Don't Spike Our Drinks! And Especially not Baby's

The American Dental Association and the U.S. Public Health Services' Centres for Disease Control advise that fluoridated tap water is not safe for babies.

According to the N.Z. Ministry of Health website, nearly half of children living in fluoridated areas have some from of dental fluorosis . This is a mottling or discoloration of the teeth and is caused when a child has too much fluoride. It is the first sign of fluoride poisoning. Babies drinking fluoridated water will be getting up to 250 times more fluoride than breast fed babies.

Asthma Facts
Asthma is the most common chronic illness of childhood and generally develops by 5 years of age . Asthma affects an estimated 4.8 million U.S children under the age of 18 years.
Since the early 1980's, national asthma rates for children have risen by more than 33%.
The severity of disease symptoms continues to increase as do hospitalizations and mortality rates.

From 1980 to 1993, the asthma death rate nearly doubled among 5 to 24 year olds. Another suvey showed a 46% increase in death rate nationwide from asthma between 1977 and 1991. ( Philadelphia Inquirer , Dec 8, 1994)

Asthma is at least 20% more common among black children than white children.
Black children experience more severe disability from asthma are three to four times more likely to be hospatilized for asthma are six times more likely to die from asthma.

Asthma is the leading cause of absenteeism related to a chronic disease.
Hartford children have the highest rate of asthma in Connecticut, and incidence is increasing. In 1994, one in three Hartford children had asthma, up from one in five in 1980.
In New Haven, according to SAHA ( Social and Health Survey, 1996), 22% of 6th, 8th and 10th graders had been told by a doctor that they had asthma and 13% had to go an emergency room to be treated for asthma.
Between 1991 and 1996, asthma related hospital discharges in Connecticut increased by more than 30%.

The Cost of Asthma

Direct costs include childhood hospitalizations, visits to the emergency room,and medications. The 4.8 million who nationally suffer from asthma account for 12 million visits to healthcare providers, 16 million emergency room visits, and 200,000 hospitalizations each year.

Indirect costs include loss of productivity of parents or guardians, child absenteeism from school, and non- quantifiable costs of anxiety, apprehension and other quality of life issues.
One study showed that American children with asthma, lose an extra 10 million school days each year, over 55% of the total days of restricted activity for the entire population. This problem is compounded by an estimated $1 billon in lost productivity for their working parents.

Fluoride - Cause of Asthma

Numerous recent studies in workers exposed to fluorides, as well as children living near fluoride polluting industries have shown a direct correlation between fluoride levels in plasma/urine and asthma.( Romundstad et al.,2000a, b; Soyseth et al., 1994;1995 ) .

Already in 1986, investigating 253 North American Indian children 11 to 17 years of age living on the Akwasasne reserve, Ernst et al ., found a significant linear relationship between respiratory abnormalities and fluoride urine samples.

In 1995, Soyeth et al, reported that exposure to low fluoride concentrations during early childhood was associated with an increased prevalence of bronchial hyper-responsiveness in schoolchildren.

Earlier Soyeth et al, (1994) had reported that a "positive association was found between bronchial responsiveness and plasma fluoride levels, such as an increase in the plasma fluoride level of 10 ng/ml was associated with an increase in the dose - response slope by a factor of 1.1 ( 95% confidence interval 1.05 - 1.17 ).

To put this figure in perspective:
In 8 to 16 year old Swiss children exposed to either drinking water fluoridation or fluoridated salt, the average fluoride concentration in plasma was 12.7 mg/ml ( +/- 3.8) ( Zeigler et al, 1991).

In 2000, Romunstad et al. conducted a mortality analysis in aluminium workers exposed to fluorides and reported an association between exposure to fluorides and mortality from chronic bronchitis, emphysema and asthma. Mortality from these diseases was associated with cumulative exposure to fluorides.

In 2001, Negoita et al, reported of increases in asthma and hyperthyroidism among the Askwasasne natives.

What is the association between Hyperthyroidism and Asthma?

As mentioned above, Soyeth et al, showed that bronchial responsiveness was related to plasma fluoride levels. Bronchial responsiveness is regulated by thyroid hormones ( T3). Higher plasma fluoride levels mean lower iodine (Free T3 ) levels. In the 1930's, May and Litzka showed in great detail how fluoride reduced iodine levels in blood.

 The more iodine in blood, the more fluoride had to be used.  Armed with this knowledge, they treated thousands of patients effectively from hyperthyroidism caused by excess iodine intake.( Basedow's disease).
Giving this amount of fluoride to a normal person, this would bring about iodine deficiency, or reduced Free T3 levels.

Numerous studies have now shown that the "continuing deficiency of thyroid hormones influences the development of the inflammatory component of asthma." (Manzolli et al, 1999).
It comes therefore also as no surprise that T3 supplementation has shown great benefits in the treatment of asthma ( abdel Khalek et al, 1991).

The Protection of Christmas - December, 20th 2009, Fourth Sunday of Advent

In her liturgical generosity, our Holy Mother the Church, gives us three distinct Masses every December twenty - fifth. They are known as the Midnight Mass, the Mass at Dawn, and the Mass of Christmas Day.

During the second Mass, the Mass at Dawn, the Church presents us with the memory of a noble widow of Rome named Anastasia, the only saint who gets a "feast day" commemoration on Jesus' Birthday.

Saint Anastasia was martyred by burning on December the twenty - fifth in the year 304.

Among all the Christmas Day occurrences of nineteen hundred years, the Church has chosen to remember, in conjunction with Our Lord's Birth, only this one event; the suffering and death of a Christian martyr whose crime before men was to insist that the Holy Infant of Bethlehem is the One, True God.

This Christmas there are many gods being proposed to the Catholics of America. They are gods with names like Tolerance and Brotherhood, and fail to worship them has become, in effect , a crime before men. Invoking saint Anastasia, The Point prays this Christmas for those who will be guilty of the crime, and who will insist, publicly and persistently, that the Christ Child of Christmas is the only true God, and that His Virgin Mother is that same Mother of God who, when our last Christmas is finally behind us, will stand unique and singular as the one Gate of Heaven.

For centuries, Catholics have believed that the world was created the way Genesis says it was, and that, therefore, the age of the world is a knowable and not too large number. Not until the "anthropology priests" of our day have Catholics defied the Church's clear tradition on the age of the world.

Each Christmas, however, the priests' Breviary contains a decided kick in the shin- bones for those excavating clerics who prefer to think that the ancestors of the Infant Jesus were the baboons of a few million years ago.

Says the Martyrology for the 25th December: "In the 5,199th year of the creation of the world, from the time when God in the beginning created the heavens and the earth, in the 2,957th year after the flood, in the 2,015th year from the birth of Abraham, ...in the 42nd year of the rule of Octavian Augustus, all the earth being at peace, Jesus Christ , the Eternal God, and the Son of the Eternal Father,...was born in Bethlehem of Juda of the Virgin Mary, made Man."

The Protection of Christmas

Thy light is come, Jerusalem, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee, and the Gentiles shall walk in thy light. Alleluia

In the troubled season of Christmas, 1958, as the last strongholds of our civilization falter before the Jewish siege, let all who are about to despair consider the above words. They are of an antiphon in the Christmastime liturgy of the Catholic Church, and they offer a needed reminder. Though we must not forget that the Jews have rejected the incarnate God, we must also remember - with thanksgiving and the chanting of alleluias - that God has likewise cast off the Jews and established His new and eternal covenant with us Gentiles.

"A Child is born to us, a Son is given to us, " is the jubilant shout of Catholics at Christmas.

To the Jews, it is a taunt, notifying them that however much they might bedevil the Church with their anti- Christian onslaughts, her ultimate triumph over them is assured. The gates of Hell shall not prevail against her..

The tiny close knit clique of climate scientists who invented and now drive the "global warming" fraud - for fraud is now what we know it to be - tampered with temperature data so assiduously that, on the recent admission of one of them, land temperatures since 1980 have risen twice as fast as ocean temperatures.

One of the thousands of e-mails recently circulated by a whistleblower at the University of East Anglia, where one of the world's four global temperature data sets is compiled, reveal that data were altered so as to prevent a recent decline in temperature from showing in the record.

In fact, there has been no statistically significant "global warming" for 15 years- and there has been rapid and significant cooling for 9 years.

Worse, these arrogant fraudsters - for fraudsters are now what we know them to be - have refused, for years and years and years, to reveal their data and their computer program listings. Now we know why: As a revealing 15,000 - line document from the computer division at the Climate Research Unit shows, the program and data are a hopeless tangled mess.

In effect, the global temperature trends have simply been made up.

Unfortunately, the British researchers have been acting closely in league with their U.S. counterparts who compile the other terrestrial temperature data set- the GISS/NCDC data set. That data set too, contains numerous biases intended artificially to inflate the natural warming of the 20th century.

Finally, these hucksters snake oil salesmen and "global warming" profiteers - for that is what they are- have written to each other encouraging the destruction of data that had been lawfully requested under the FOIA in the U.K. by scientists who wanted to check whether their global temperature record had been properly compiled - and that procurement of data destruction, as they are about to find out to their cost, is a criminal offense.

They are not merely bad scientists - they are crooks.

CRU's ringleader , Phil Jones to step down while investigation into the whole sorry mess takes place....first it was "there was no dumped data, then it was "95% thrown away" so that no raw data could be verified by scientists...I guess it will all come out in the investigation, so long as it is a complete independant investigation, not "peer reviewed"!


Meanwhile back in the jungle of little ol' N.Z. it appears NIWA (National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research N.Z.) have also been 'fiddling the books', refusing to release climate data for verification by N.Z. scientists, after they too claim the trend has been for climate warming, in spite of the fact that raw data reveals that, the opposite has been the case.

Unaltered climate data reveals that cooling has been taking place for the last 9 years, as released by the Climate Science Coalition shows no warming as claimed by the Global warming 'tree hugger' and alarmists at NIWA, over the last 100 years...I guess their masters at the IPCC threatened them if they stepped outta' line in their conclusions, and went against the trend espoused by the NWO's agenda, their funding would suddenly dry up like a creek bed in summer !

Of course there's the Wellington fiasco, where because overlaps between Thorndon and Kelburn were absent, it was decided to lower Thorndon's temps for a best fit arrangement, on the basis that Wellington Airport and Thorndon would be similar...yeah, right!....different climatic zones, given that they are 15km apart .



But, why lower those two sites! Doesn't make sense....8 - B

BUT, what struck me was, that this was not the site in use during the 1960's and earlier! When was the new site set up? I have no doubt this will eventually come out! The original site was maybe 100 yards further north towards the new Met Office building.

Chemtrails and Contrails

Where to start. Since the concept of chemtrails is a relatively new phenomena to most people, first coming to notice by the mid 1990's, it has now become a serious cause for concern, amongst a growing number of people, more especially in the United States and Great Britain, but recently in Australia as far back as 2000.

[ Contrail persistant and affected by wind shear forms a thin cirrus cloud and drifts away from observer, in a westerlie airstream. Aircraft travelling northwards from Dunedin to Wellington or Auckland]..... But was it a chemtrail?

Cases have apparently even been reported in New Zealand, including Wellington and Tauranga, in recent years.



Not least, because of health problems being reported along with ,and shortly after the observation of such alleged chemtrail activity , are people concerned.


[ What can we do about it? Well, for a start start talking about it and raising peoples' awareness and reporting it to local and government officials, news media etc]


For example, after such reported activity, depletion in the amount of rain has been reported,leading to drought conditions, lack of visibility and polluted skies, being the replacement for once clear blue skies.

Definitions:

Contrails are caused by moisture in engine exhaust of high flying aircraft forming a cloud when mixed with the surrounding colder air. If the surrounding air has a low humidity level the moist air from the jet engine might produce a short lived contrail or none at all...


...a useful guide for forecasting the weather may be obtained by observing the presence or absence of contrails.

If the contrail disappears quickly expect clear skies and settled weather.

If the contrail lingers and thickens before falling apart, expect a possible change in the weather.

The long lasting contrail indicates high humidity at high altitudes, usually associated with approaching bad weather, while one which does not persist or does not appear indicates low moisture levels at high altitudes, and a settled weather outlook.

Contrails normally form when the temperature is low enough ( less than about -38 deg C) for the droplets to freeze in a few seconds. Wind shear can draw out the contrail into an almost horizontal sheet of thin cirrus cloud.


Next question, is how can we know when we are looking at an innocent naturally occurring contrail as opposed to a deliberate man- made phenomena known as a chemtrail, or a persistent contrail?

Well, apart from testing the material exhaust from the aircraft and studying the immediate after-effects upon the lives and health of people, or perhaps talking to the pilots flying these aircraft, or examing Government documents on related matters, it can be difficult to determine whether one is looking at one or the other.

So if chemtrails are different to contrails and are persistent, the difference must lie in their composition, and tests have shown that heavy metals, including aluminium and barium are part of the exudent, and these at high altitudes where humidity levels are as low as 30%, where contrails would not normally form. The very fine heavy metal particles have the ability to act as condensation nuclei at these very low humidity levels, so that cirrus clouds from at 30,000 to 40,000ft, much higher than one would normally expect. There are some excellent well documented sites which have extensive files on chemtrails, and I would suggest anyone concerned would be well rewarded in the time and effort spent on further research on this topic.

Strange Clouds

Apparently people have been noticing unusual looking clouds in their skies...and have even suggested they be given a completely separate classification, being put into a new group known as "asperatus".


I wonder how long these people have been observing clouds or bothered to glance up at the sky and notice that each passing day produces a completely new set of clouds, and that not one day's set of clouds is exactly like another, a bit like snowflakes, I guess?

Some are more striking than others, admittedly, but they still belong to the same family, sharing the same basic characteristics.



Anycase, the clouds in the pictures are readily identifiable ...as you will see, agree or otherwise!
